on the night of aug. 10th 2010. at 10:33pm i was involved in a serious car accident that was 100% NOT my fault. & im still recovering from it. I was going through a green light  when a man came from the left failing to yield & thought he could dodge crashed into me full speed on my side pushing me into another car. 3 cars total were involved. I was the only one seriously injured. the 3rd one involved went to a nearby hospital to be checked and the one who caused it didnt get hurt. infact he never came to see if i was ok he walked away from the scene. & luckily some1 stopped and called 911 for me. i couldn’t feel my leg i & i was scared to look at it i couldn’t breathe and had no idea of any injuries i had. 3 different rescue teams were at the scene &  they had to cut the door off with the jaws of life get me out and cut all my cloths off…extremely embarrassing when your’re in the middle of a major intersection under a spotlight. lol one of the paramedics told me he had no idea how i survived & just kept telling me how lucky i was. they said i definitely had broken bones in my leg and my foot was backwards.  with injuries to serious for a regular hospital i was rushed to shock trauma which is a hospital for serious accident victims or people.  i had immediate surgery. & spent 4 long nights there. 2 bones in my lower right leg were broke in half n foot was backwards. now i have a metal rod  & some screws in my leg. when i arrived home i had to rent a hospital bed for a month to sleep on in my dinning room because i could not use stairs. i couldn’t work and eventually after 4 months i lost my job because i was out of work for to long. & have continued to try & get medical & cash help through social services but since im not pregnant or have kids im denied benefits. which i think is bull crap & i live with my retired grandparents & the only income we have coming in is the small check they get each month & even that isn’t enough they are stressing over money & knowing they cant help me makes it worse. before the accident i had a job was promoted to team leader of a dinning room and paying for everything on my own. it sucks but i with all the love support prayers & help from all my friends & family it has bin alot easier getting through each day. im still recovering. i will be seeing a doctor for at least 2 years. and my settlement wont be closed till im done seeing a doctor. my van was totaled but saved my life. & still no one knows how i survived. i still question myself that everyday. obviously god isn’t done with me and i wana take this 2nd chance at life to find my purpose on this earth. im now on the road to a long recovery. & i cant work till the doctor releases me which wont be for awhile. it will be a long time before im healed & can return to my normal life…which i miss! i cant wait to win this fight & get bk to my life! i am going to fight to make a change and get a no turn on green sign and get a turn light where my accident was at. because to many accidents happen there along with a good friend of mine whos accident was there as well. i want to make sure no one else has to go through that and maybe i can save lives by doing it!

UPDATE: went to the doctor on 2/8/11- found out i need a 2nd surgery :(

-Date for 2nd surgery is scheduled for march 10th 2011 at 11am 

UPDATE: june 24rth 2011 doctor says my bone is fully healed but the massice pain wont be going away anytime soon. i dont have to go back to him for another year YAY!
